Richmond, TEXAS – Abriox Inc, the multi award-winning high-tech specialist in remote monitoring, is pleased to announce the launch of two new additions to its NB-IoT SUNBIRD range of units, for data communication to 2030 and beyond.
The new SUNBIRD TR Excel Transformer Rectifier Monitor is a compact remote monitoring unit (RMU) that can be housed inside a rectifier cabinet or supplied in a separate enclosure ready for external mounting.
Utilizing NB-IoT, the SUNBIRD TR Excel delivers a communication life beyond 2030. NB-IoT cellular communications also provides far greater geographical coverage than 4G technology.
“The Abriox team is excited and proud we have been able to bring the SUNBIRD TR Excel to market so quickly after the launch of our solar-powered SUNBIRD SP Test Post Monitor at CORROSION 2021,” said Abriox CEO Sean Daniels.
The SUNBIRD SP is an eye-catching, cylindrical solar-powered compact cathodic protection test post monitor which will never require battery replacement. Installation is automatic, with no cell phones or lap tops required. It has an extremely fast 1-second logging rate and built-in GPS to ensure the data is coming from the correct location.
SUNBIRD SP was called the “game-changer” by customers involved in rigorous field trials of the unit, and featured in AMPP’s ‘Materials Performance’ magazine.
“The SUNBIRD TR Excel utilizes superior NB-IoT technology designed for the Internet of Things and intended for communications to 2030 and beyond,” Sean added.
At the same time, Abriox is also excited to launch the SUNBIRD TR Excel Dual Current Transformer Rectifier Monitor.
“The SUNBIRD TR Excel Dual Current Transformer Rectifier Monitor relies on the same technology as the SUNBIRD TR Excel, with the option of an ON/OFF Potential or second current measurement channel for an additional pipeline, which some of our customers have asked for,” Sean explained.
